What a night! Not only did I get to see one of my favorite post-rock bands live for the first time, but I also got to test the low light capabilities of my new 5D Mark III. This was an extremely dimly lit stage – zero lights coming from the front of the stage and only a few ambient lights coming from behind the band. So to say the least, it was challenging but I ended up getting a lot of cool silhouettes. Most of these shots were taken at 128,000 ISO, something I never even fathomed being possible on my 7D. I decided to go B+W with these because I thought it matched the intimacy of the venue and performance. I highly recommend checking these guys out if you haven’t already. They make really special sounds. www.caspianmusic.net
